to the stallion named Cherokee Treasured, registration no. 280491 during the _________ breeding season. The breeding fee is $750. The mare owner agrees to pay a non-refundable booking fee of $250.00 which is to be enclosed with this contract. The balance of the fee and shipped semen fee must be paid and a signed and dated contract received by the stallion owner prior to the shipment of semen. Shipped semen is $200 for the first shipment of semen..

If I have given you a discount for multiple mares etc. You may write in the agreement here. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ The mare owner requests ______________________________________ as the approximate time for breeding.

The collection days are Monday, Wednesday and Friday. All semen orders should be received 24 hours prior to the day of shipment. You MUST also notify us when your mare begins to come in heat in order for us to know to be expecting the semen call. Please note, I work as far as 3 hours from home and if I am not notified when the mare begins to come in heat, and if I do not have a 24 hour notice prior to shipment semen may not be available. I am self employed and can be very flexible and accomodating for you if I am given a notice. But likewise I cant drop everything and leave my other customers hanging for my horse customers when there is no advanced notice.

2.If mare does not settle with the first shipment, there will be a charge of $250.00 for each additional shipment and must be paid in advance prior to shipment.
Mares bred at the farm will be given first priority.
If after two shipments the mare has not settled the mare owner will need to have their own veterinarian perform a breeding soundness examination on the mare including a uterine culture and cytology. The mare must be breeding sound and a letter stating so from the veterinarian must be sent to the sire owner prior to any further shipments of semen. For mares over 16 years of age a uterine biopsy may be required at the sire owner’s discretion. It is advisable to have a clean culture before semen is shipped the first time to save expenses to the stallion and/or mare owner.

3. The Stallion owner guarantees a live color foal. A live foal is defined as one that stands and nurses after foaling. Cherokee Treasured tested Homozygous B {BB} in the Albumin and Homozygous S {SS} in the Gc. He meets the blood type requirements for being Homozygous in tobiano coloration. If a solid foal or if the mare does not have live foal the stallion owner will rebreed the second year.

4.If a mare is bred at the farm, the board bill will be $6.50/day dry and $8.00/day wet. This must be paid when the mare is picked up from the farm. There will be no additional charges for insemination of the mare at the farm. I breed in some ways the old fashion way in that I do breed AI, but I put semen in your mare every other day starting at about day 3 from when she comes into heat. That way there is semen there when it needs to be but at the same time you do not have large vet bills to check your mare.

5. A photocopy of the mares papers must be returned with this contract. We would also like a photograph of the mare and resulting foal, which may be used for our future advertising.

6.The stud fee will be carried forward the following year, and the live-foal guarantee will be valid only if the mare owner has properly maintained the health of the mare, and verifies the mare’s pregnancy loss by providing the sire owner with a signed and dated veterinary certificate, clearly stating the following:

The stallion owner must receive this certificate within 30 days of the loss of the mares pregnancy and before said mare is rebred.

7.If the above stallion should die or become unfit for service prior to or after breeding a return service will be available to another stallion owned and/or leased by Bart Boewe. Breeding fees will not be refunded.

8. The mare owner may not assign or transfer this contract without the consent of the stallion owner. Substitution of another mare may only be done with the consent of the stallion owner.

9. We are not responsible for accidents or death of the mare while at The Fall Creek Ranch.
Shipped semen will be sent only to mare owners veterinarian, designated here in by mare owner, unless otherwise specified and agreed upon by the stallion owner: name
